Dear Parents and Carers,

We are really looking forward to seeing you for parent consultations next week.

For Nest parents please come to your usual entrance where staff can meet you.

Nursery parents please come to the main office entrance, ring the bell, and you will be taken through to meet your class staff.

Do remember to wear a mask and warm coat as we will have doors and windows open in the rooms.

Parents consultations are a time to speak confidentially so we request that you do not bring children to the consultation.

We have been talking a lot with the children in recent weeks, about the diverse languages and cultures which make up the ‘Homerton global family’.

As part of this celebration of our similarities and differences we are sharing some songs and stories with the children which we thought you might also like to listen to at home.

Thank you to Mitali for sourcing these different links on youtube.

Continuing on the global theme some of our families and staff have relatives in India.

I am sure you are all well aware of the desperate plight that India is currently in due to Covid 19 .

As a staff and community we wanted to do something to raise funds towards getting oxygen and other supplies to India.

Our plan is to have a Baking stall with savoury or sweet bakes and cakes on Wednesday 12th May, the table for these will be placed outside the main entrance.

Please can we ask for your support both in baking for this stall, and in bringing money on the day to make a donation which we will pass on to our chosen charity which is the British Asian Trust.

Sorry we will not be able to give you change on the day.

Please see links below for more information on our chosen charity

If you wish to donate to them directly then please do so.

Work on the park next door has just started and the new play equipment should be in place in the next couple of weeks.  Children have really been enjoying watching all the diggers and lorries working today.

Finally I am attaching a picture of Toby, who is our Caretaker Roy’s new puppy.  He visited on Tuesday and met some of the children.

We are hoping he will make regular visits this term so the children can enjoy seeing him grow.

Wishing you all a very happy weekend and some sunshine!

Alex and all at Homerton
